Freight rates
Our on-line shopping cart calculates the freight cost on purchases based on the delivery destination Post Code and the number of bottles purchased.
We use Australia Post and its eParcel system for shipment of wine. The eParcel charge structure has a fixed fee for each parcel plus a rate per kilogram – both fees vary depending on the destination Post Code.
Our site will allow purchases of as little as one bottle. However, the cost of freight for this bottle (and for all purchases of less than 6 bottles) will be at the half case rate.
The reason for this is that the eParcel fixed fee is the same and savings on the per kilogram fee are offset by greater cost of packaging for small orders.
